OPIC’s Pork for a Cause Hog Jog is a 3.5km run/walk and 10km run held each year during the Ontario Pork Congress. 2023 marks the return of the Hog Jog, which originally started in 2005. To celebrate, Hog Jog will plant a seed for the future.
Funds raised from the 2023 run will support the Stratford Branch of St. John's Ambulance. In 2020 St. John's Ambulance was chosen to be the beneficiary and had a strong application to raise funds for a much-needed new ambulance. As we all know, the race did not go ahead in 2020. Fast forward to 2022 and the ambulance they needed to replace caught on fire in the Spring. They have since been renting out a truck to move equipment and volunteers.
The 18th annual charity run/walk and pork dinner will be held the evening of Wednesday, June 21st, 2023 at the Stratford Rotary Complex (353 McCarthy Road Stratford). This is a family fun event for runners of all ages.
