Help James raise money

Relentless, jovial, witty, and undeniably a gift to humanity!  Some of the ways I would describe my good friend Sandy Thornton!  If I could pick someone to be the sister I never had, she would be at the top of the list!  

But friends, one of the best among us is fighting her second fight with cancer and its effects on the body.  I know that many of us are not able to fathom one fight, let alone two with this disease.  However, the battle does not mar one bit of Sandy's personality.  I have never known her to be easily detained by anything other than what she chooses.  There is no surprise to many why she is known as a dragon!  

So much like she was not expecting to have to have this fight again, I was not preparing to run the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon.  I had signed off to run the Half Marathon and take this one off.  Once I heard Sandy's news, I had a strong desire to try to share in her resolve to fight and do something hard; something maybe I wasn't currently planning to do.  

So here we go.  This Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon run on May 7th, 2023 will be to honor my amazing friend and her family with a pursuit in some small way respects the hardships they are going through.  The perseverance they need! And to show them how much I and others love them through support to an organization that is fighting for a solution to this disease.
