How fitting that the 2022 winner and the assist were the only former winners of the event with, on this occasion, Ryan Crawford having the edge over the near irrepressible Kevin Muller. Both surpassed Phil Gore's Australian record, with Ryan finishing on 59 laps to Kevin's 58 (an assist of 15 laps).
The 2022 trophy was intended to serve as a reminder of how precious every minute of every day is, regardless of any activity undertaken. Maybe more so of time itself, and the seeming possibility that it may never end!.
