My Story…
Many years ago, I was struggling with my mental health, and I started running. Running helped me better manage anxiety in one season, and it pulled me out of depression in another.
In Canada, 1 in 3 people will experience some problem with their mental health in the course of a year. Today I am raising money for the work my team does at Youth Unlimited, which in large part is to strengthen staff resilience. We work with passionate and dedicated youth workers who are walking closely with young people all across the GTA. In order to effectively support young Canadians with their mental health, we need to be building resilience in our own lives.
Will you support me as I rebuild this running habit into my own life? Together we can multiply our efforts to strengthen the resilience of Youth Unlimited staff who strengthen the resilience of youth in our city.
Description
There are over 1 million young people in the Toronto Area alone. Youth Unlimited’s vision is to see every one of them transformed by God's love. Our hope is that by cultivating relationships with caring adults who will mentor and cheer them on, our young people will be able to bring about positive change to our city – both now and in the future. In order to come alongside young people to address their unique challenges and vulnerabilities, Youth Unlimited partners with local churches and organizations in grassroots programming to foster the wholistic transformation of young people and their communities.
Join our team and together we will help our youth transform the City!
