The Rutherglen Country Fair is one of the oldest and largest regional markets in Victoria. It is held on the Sunday of the June long weekend from 9:00am to 3:30pm and is part of the popular Winery Walkabout weekend.
The market is held in the main street and with over 200 sites attracting upwards of 6,000 visitors wanting to buy all types of good from homemade arts and crafts, clothes, tools, produce. Entertainment includes the grape tread event.
Community groups and local traders provide all the hot food and drink from outside their premises.
All funds raised from the market go back into projects within the Rutherglen and district local community.
