Belmont Park's First Community 5K

Join us for Belmont Park's first community 5k, an event perfect for families! Starting and ending in the heart of Belmont Park, participants will enjoy stunning views of Mission Beach, the iconic Giant Dipper Roller Coaster and all that the community has to offer. In this exciting new event, participants can choose to either run or walk the 5K course, making it accessible to individuals of all fitness levels. Whether you're a seasoned runner aiming for a personal best or someone looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll, there's a place for everyone in the Belmont Park 5K.
As an added bonus, each registered participant will receive a complimentary wristband ($60 value) that grants access to all the exhilarating rides and attractions at Belmont Park! After conquering the 5K course and crossing the finish line, you can continue the day by exploring the park's wonders. Not to mention, Belmont Park will be transformed into its annual Fall Festival complete with fun activations, photo opportunities for the whole family and seasonal menu items you can only experience once a year!
Did you know that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month? The proceeds of this event will go towards supporting Team Parker For Life, a local charity whose mission is to raise awareness of childhood cancer, support cancer research, and be a voice for the children in their fight against these horrific diseases. The Team Parker For Life Team is "committed to serving the public, specifically children with cancer and their families. We host various events & fundraisers throughout the year not only to meet the financial needs of our programs, but also to unite as a community and raise awareness about childhood cancer."

Hello Belmont Park 5K Participants!
We are so excited to see you this Sunday, September 17th at Belmont's first community 5k walk and run! The countdown to a day filled with fitness, fun, iconic Mission Beach views and of course all of you is here! Please see important details about where to check in, parking, timelines and fun happenings below.
Event Schedule:
Check-in Location:
- Check in will be between 6-7 am. Please remember to bring your confirmation email and prepared to share your first and last name. This will make the process quick and efficient!Our check-in station will be conveniently located in the center of Belmont Park, near the recognizeable start/finish line. Look for our friendly staff who will assist you with the check-in process!
Parking:
- You can park in any of the lots surrounding Belmont Park, parking is free. We've got plenty of space to accommodate all participants!
Post-Event Fun:
- Don't forget to redeem your free drink ticket and join us for a beachside brunch at Draft South Mission beginning at 8 am. It's the perfect way to celebrate your achievement and unwind with fellow participants! - After the walk/run, we invite you to explore our Vendor Village, where you can discover a variety of exciting offerings from local businesses! Vendor village will be located near the finish line.
Complementary Belmont Park Wristbands:
- As a special thank you for joining us, each participant will receive complementary wristbands to all of our rides and attractions. These wristbands can be used for additional fun any day before the end of 2023. Keep them safe and make the most of your time at Belmont Park! Reminder that Belmont Park will open at 11 am on race day.
Exclusive Event T-Shirts:
- We're thrilled to reveal our limited edition Belmont Park Community 5k T-shirts, designed by a local artist! These stylish T-shirts will be given to participants during registration of the event, so you can take home a piece of this memorable day.

What is included in my race registration for the Belmont Park 5K?
All registered participants will receive a timing chip, race bib, one complimentary drink ticket, and a Ride & Play pass to spend the day at Belmont Park!
Is there race day registration?
Yes! Race day registration will be available at check-in for $50/participant for the Belmont Park 5K.
Can I get a refund for my registration?
Refunds will not be available after purchase. If you are experiencing issues with your ticket or registration, please reach out to event contact.
How do I get my race packet?
To collect your race packet, please take note of the following details:
Check-in/registration starts promptly at 6:00am.
The registration booth will be conveniently located in the heart of Belmont Park's Midway, right near the start / finish line.
Don't forget to bring along a valid ID for check-in. For the most up-to-date information, including any potential changes, please keep an eye on our event website. We look forward to seeing you at the Belmont Park 5K!
How do I volunteer?
We would love to have you as a volunteer! If you are interested, please email 5k@belmontpark.com to sign up for volunteering at the Belmont Park 5K.
Where should I park on race day?
You will be able to park on-site at Belmont Park! The main event parking is located at 3146 Mission Blvd, San Diego CA. Additionally, there is an overflow lot located at 1100 W Mission Bay Drive, San Diego CA.
Is there an age minimum for the event?
There is no age minimum to participate in the Belmont Park 5K. However, if you wish to enjoy alcohol at the post-race festival, you must be 21+ years old and present a valid photo ID.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed at the Belmont Park 5K.
Is the 5K chip timed?
Yes, the Belmont Park 5K is a chip-timed event.
Will there be any aid stations on the course?
Yes. There will be one (1) aid station along the course providing water to all participants of the Belmont Park 5K.
