My Story…
I am lucky enough to have the resources and ability to participate in a hobby that is so great for me physically and mentally. I started racing in 2019, and pretty much have not stopped. If I am going to run, I might as well run for a reason!
For the 2023 marathon, I decided to raise money for the organization Young Adult Survivors United. I chose this particular organization because the young people I have personally known who have battled cancer.
The mission of this organization is to provide young adult cancer survivors and their co-survivors with the ability to cope and thrive from emotional, social, and financial support under the professional guidance and with peers who understand and can relate.
