Help Lindsey raise money

Hello friends and fellow countrymen (and countrywomen :) I am once again writing to all you because I have been coerced by my crazy friends into doing a completely unnecessary athletic challenge and I am once again hoping to use it to raise money for good people working to do good things!!

Ive will be running the Pittsburgh marathon in May and through this, I am raising money to support Zip With Us. This small 501(c)(3) charity makes kids clothes with strategically positioned zippers so that kiddos with med ports (used for blood draws, chemo infusions etc throughout treatment for leukemias and other conditions) can attend infusion appointments, ER visits, and hospital stays while still feeling comfortable and looking cool in their own clothes. They donate these shirts free of charge to families and hospitals to help kiddos who are battling these diseases.

Some of you who have been following my med school journey may already know this, but I am planning on applying into a Med-Peds residency (both internal medicine and pediatrics). Over the course of the past year I have watched patients young and old struggle through the both physical and emotional challenges that come with "becoming a patient." I cant even imagine the positive impact that one of these t shirts would have on some of my patients to help give back some autonomy, creativity, and comfort during an unimaginably challenging time!  My goal is to raise $1,000 for this awesome charity and i would appreciate any support you can provide in this goal!
