Our story…
We are running for Kate. Kate was a woman on a mission and put everyone before herself. She saw the best in people, and took time to listen, study, and empathetically open her heart to the perspective and experience of others. She was empathetic to the underdog, even when those folks came out blazing hot toward her. She was someone that made imprints on hearts and minds in a quiet way, and her loveliness will be honored through the many lives she touched.
Please consider a donation to support our relay, all of us 46+-year-olds grateful that our legs work, to remember and celebrate the life and legacy of Kate Dattilo.
Amazing mom, loving partner, educational innovator, pioneer in service of ALL children, corny joke lover, dear friend, Thai food lover (no baby corns, please), and beautiful human.

Kate was a PIONEER (not a settler) which is why I chose Magee-Women's Research Insitute & Foundation to support. The fact that the word PIONEER was highlighted on this site made it clearly a sign to focus on this important work for WOMEN. https://mageewomens.org/who-we-are
