XTERRA Wellington Festival 2023

Set 30 minutes drive from Wellington CBD, 4 Trail Runs, 2 Triathlon's, Duathlon, Mountain Bike and teams events in every category. Options galore and something for everyone.


XTERRA Wellington embraces the coastal landscape that is Kāpiti, in the heart of Wellington, New Zealand. No glitz nor glamour, just honest New Zealand terrain, spectacular views and proper home grown hospitality. XTERRA Wellington links the beach to the mountains in a uniquely west coast way. 50km from Wellington, this course is awe inspiring. Amazing views from all over the course with spectacular trails that take you through diverse native bush, beach trails plus everything in between.

Something for everyone, from our Super 6km Fun Run, Whareroa Half Marathon, to our full XTERRA Coastal Triathlon. All of this followed by a celebration that includes live music, drink, food and stories into the night. XTERRA Wellington is a completely unique New Zealand coastal experience. There is nothing like it in NZ or indeed the world.


  • Don't forget, late fees kick in from the 27th of Jan at $10 per person.
  • Youth Fees apply to anyone under 18 year olds.
  • There is no age restriction for the 14k Trail Run and Super 6k but children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
