Lake Pontchartrain - Highway 11 Bridge Run

Course details: Start on North Shore at foot of Lake Pontchartrain Hwy 11 Bridge. Finish at the Irish Bayou Truck Stop on the SouthShore. Course distance is 5.44 Miles ( Course map posted below)

*NOTE: The event management ( NORSI ) has the right to alter course and distance pending any serious area safety concerns.

Time: 8:15 am-Start of Run / Walk

6:30 am - Day of race packet pickup and late registration opens -INSIDE THE IRISH BAYOU TRUCK STOP BUILDING

Race day registration closes at 7:30 am

ON-LINE registration closes January 15th ( 10:00 pm )

Location ( Parking, Registration, Packet Pickup, Post race festivities ) at the Irish Bayou Truck Stop, 3684 U.S. Highway 11, New Orleans, La. 70129

Parking: At the Irish Bayou Truck Stop lots and shoulder of Highway 11. If parking on the north shore transportation from south shore is Not provided postrace.

Bus Transportation: Free bus transportation from Race site ( Irish Bayou Truck Stop ) to North Shore Start line area, Bus transportation begins at 6:30 am. Last bus departs to start at 7:30 am * PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY

Entry fees: $30.00 by August 31st, $35.00 by November 30th, $40.00 by Janu5ary 1st, $45.00 by January 15th and during pre-race day packet pickup event. $50.00 on the day of race at the race site.

Packet Pickup: Pre-Race day details ( T-Shirt, race number bib with timing chip affixed )

Wednesday, January 18th - hosted by Varsity Sports - Mandeville - 624 Girod Street location ( 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm )

Thursday, January 19th - hosted by Varsity Sports - New Orleans - 5707 Magazine Street ( 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm )

Or on the day of race at the race site opening at 6:30 am

* Course time limit is 1 hour- 45 minutes from official start time ( Please make note , will be enforced )

T-Shirts: Custom commemorative T-Shirts distributed at packet pickup ( sizes Small thru XXLG ) *Soft Style brand . Size not guaranteed to day of race entrants.

Awards / Scoring: Custom medallions to all official finishers

Event is Chip Timed. Please wear Race event bib number on front only and visible. Do not fold timing chip

2nd Overall Male and Female: $100.00 Varsity Sports gift card

3rd Overall Male and Female: $75.00 Varsity Sports gift card

Age group division awards: ( 1st & 2nd Place )17-under, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, 80-over

Race Walker Division Awards: TBD

Notice: No Ear Gear / headphones please * NORSI recommends to not wear any device that will limit your ability to hear event officials during the event. No Pets on course - strictly enforced.
