My Story…
On Sept 11 2001, I was sitting in everyday traffic outside of NYC like any other day. That was until I saw the planes strike the towers. My new wife (we were married the week before) was supposed to be at WTC that day but by happenstance she stayed home that day. I watched everything happen as the day unfolded. I signed up to be a firefighter in my town within the next month and served my NJ community for 10 years before moving to San Diego. The men and women who choose this profession are special because they don’t consider it an option to not help another person. They do what they need to at whatever personal sacrifice they must. I climb to help the people serving today and to remember those that went into those towers knowing they might not come out.
