My Story…
Because raising 2 kids wasn’t enough of a marital challenge, we decided to put our relationship to the ultimate test by handcuffing ourselves together and running for 42.2km.
Although we have completed other endurance challenges together, this will be the first time that we may have to physically share a porta-potty… taking intimacy to a whole new level!
We have both been involved in other MitoCanada Guinness World Records such as the 24hr Team Treadmill and linked marathons that were such rewarding experiences. We are excited to be lacing up our running shoes once again for MitoCanada in celebration of running for those who can‘t.
Our inspiration comes from people like our friends' son Evan Penny and others affected by Mitochondrial disease who deal with significant challenges everyday. By getting involved and raising funds and awareness we hope to help ease the pain and suffering of patients and their families.
Our goal is to raise $100/km and help continue the momentum that MitoCanada has built for helping so many!
