February 3-4 @ Dow's Lake

BeaverTails Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival is the largest ice dragon boat race in the world! The event provides a unique experience that combines dragon boating with Canadian winter sport culture.

Twelve-person boats are equipped with skate-like blades and competitors propel themselves along the course using spiked ice-picks. On February 3-4, teams from around the world will compete on the Rideau Canal Skateway at Dow's Lake.

Check out the races and enjoy free concerts at the The Rainbow in the Byward Market throughout Winterlude from February 3-20.
