Free Race Shirt for 5K and Fun Run participants
All proceeds will be used to support the Brookhaven Police Department's "Shop with a Badge" Christmas Program. The Shop with a Badge or similarly named programs are held in numerous law enforcement agencies across the country. All funds raised through race registration fees, donations, and corporate sponsorships will be divided up equally among our city's underprivileged children. The children will be escorted by participating police officers, sheriff's deputies, troopers, and other first responders to pick out much-needed items and maybe a toy or two. Your participation is deeply appreciated and will bring a smile to a child's face as they are able to experience the joy of opening gifts on Christmas morning. Register by August 15 to be guaranteed your shirt size of choice.
Both our 5K and Fun Run courses bring you from the street to the trail on the west side of Murphey Candler Lake, and back to the park where the Fun Run ends. The 5K continues on Candler Lake East through the beautiful neighborhoods and ends at the park entrance.
All 5K and Fun Run finishers will receive a 2023 race shirt (available at early packet pick-up as well as race day packet pick-up after finishing the race). All 5K finishers will receive a medal after crossing the finish line. We can't wait to see you on race day!
Can't make it on race day? We have two additional options Virtual Runner (running your own race at your location of choice) and Phantom Runner (not running, but supporting). Virtual runners do not have to submit a time or screenshot of the course. We want you to get out and move your body for a distance that is comfortable for you.
Race Day Schedule
6:30 pm - Packet Pick-Up, In-Person registration, Get your GLOW GEAR on!
7:20 pm - Tot Trot Run
7:30 pm - Fun Run Start
7:50 - 8:00 pm 5K (Full Glow Run! Waiting for the sun to go down.)
8:45 pm - Awards
