45th Annual Stewart McKelvey Fredericton Marathon Race Weekend

Registration Policies:

1. Registration deferrals are not offered this year. In lieu of deferrals this year, we are able to offer refunds for 2023 registrations only. Please see #3 for details. Refunds will not be offered on deferrals from 2022 and promo codes will only be valid for the 2023 event.

2. Registrations may be transferred to another event or to another runner no later than April 23rd, 2023 - 11:59pm (NO EXCEPTIONS.) If you need to, you may change the event(s) that you are currently registered for (e.g. from half marathon to 10K), or if you would like to transfer your registration to another individual, this can be done through Race Roster. If you are switching to a more expensive event, you will be required to pay the difference. No refund will be issued if you switch to a lower priced event(s).

- Registered using a promo code and want to transfer? Please share a copy of your receipt with support@raceroster.com and indicate the new event you wish to run in or the new runner's email you wish to transfer your registration to.

- Registered without a promo code? All other transfers can be completed using the transfer button until the transfer deadline of April 23rd, 2023.

3. Refund Policy *NEW* Due to the fact a number of our expenses are incurred well in advance of race weekend in order to have them for you on time, we are not able to offer a full registration refund for the entirety of the year. PLEASE EMAIL: registrar@frederictonmarathon.com TO REQUEST A REFUND.

- Before February 14th, 2023, at 11:59 pm we are able to offer a full refund of your registration fees including tax minus any Race Roster processing fees.

- Between February 14th, 2023 and March 31st, 2023 at 11:59pm, we are able to offer a 50% refund of your registration fees including tax minus any Race Roster processing fees.

- Starting April 1st, 2023, we are unable to offer any refund. During the registration process, you will have the option to purchase insurance that may offer you a refund on your registration fees in certain situations. It is offered through an independent third-party company and all refund questions should be directed to them if you purchased that option. Please do not contact the Fredericton Marathon if you want to start an insurance claim. Refund claims should be requested at https://refundrequest.fanshield.net/

5. Bib number swapping can cause medical problems on race day and any runner found swapping their bib number without having properly transferred their registration will not be allowed to run in this event and will be banned from all future races.

6. 2023 runners deferring from 2022 need to use the promo code provided to them by Fredericton Marathon to re-register for their respective races. If you are unable to find the email from Fredericton Marathon Inc, please contact us at registrar@frederictonmarathon.com.

7. All registrations received BEFORE March 30th, 2023 guarantees you a shirt but NOT the requested size! (Although we will do our best to accommodate your size request).

8. Please be aware that there is a 6 hour cut off for the marathon. As a guideline, if you have not passed the 1/2 timing mat by 10:15 AM (2 hours and 45 minutes after the start), chances are you will not finish in 6 hours. Therefore, any runner approaching the finish line area to start their second loop after 10:15AM will be directed across the finish line and given a half marathon finishing time.

9. Should Public Safety change their Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions, we reserve the right to implement a vaccine policy for our event.
