Run Calgary and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra are colliding the wonderful worlds of running and music. In the sixth edition of Beat Beethoven, lace up in support of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra's PhilKids — a meaningful after-school program that fuels the empowerment of children through music. Challenge yourself to finish an 8 km running race or a 4 km walk, on a 4 km looped course along the beautiful Bow River, before a section of the orchestra completes 50 minutes of Beethoven's best music. Finishers receive the sixth collectible custom Beat Beethoven wine glass, a finisher's medal, and a complimentary glass of wine (or sparkling water!) at RiverWalk Plaza in the East Village. Also included is a light dinner and concert by an ensemble of Calgary Phil musicians.
You must be 18 years old or older to participate in this event.

The in-person fees are higher than your regular fun run because this is an elevated running experience. Enjoy a unique run experience with a light dinner, wine, and live music performed by members of the Orchestra.

GST & Processing Fees
Please note that each participant will be charged a processing fee plus 5% GST, in addition to the race entry fee.

Refund Policy
Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- All registration fees are non-refundable. No refunds, transfers, medical comps or deferrals under any circumstances.
- Accurate shipping information must be entered upon registration. We are not responsible for misdeliveries or lost swag due to participant error.
- Run Calgary has partnered with RegShield and you can purchase a protection policy on your registration if you have to cancel or can't make the event. RegShield is a protection product made for athletes by athletes. It provides coverage for 17 different roadblocks. These are the reasons that most athletes are unable to compete in their events.
