WELCOME TO
SWEAT VS STEAM
Sweat vs Steam is a unique and iconic running event held on the mighty Murray River and
runs through the historic Port of Echuca.
Participants try to beat the oldest operating wooden hulled paddle steamer in the world to the finish line!
Funds raised go back to support our local community through our community grant foundation.

Event schedule
Saturday 7 October
3:00-5:00PM: Registration and race bib collection from Hopwood Gardens, Echuca.
5:00PM: Online entries close NO on the day entries available. ENTER HERE
Sunday 8th October
7:00-7:45AM: Registration and race bib collections, Hopwood Gardens, ECHUCA.
Please arrive in good time to pick up your race bib and timing chip and enjoy the pre-race activities.
7:45AM: Welcome and acknowledgement
7:50AM: Pre event warm up
7:55AM: 10km Pre Race Briefing
8:00AM: 10km race start. From start/finish line
8:05AM: 2km Pre Race Briefing.
8:10AM: (approx): 2km Junior River Run start. Just down from the finish line.
8:20AM: 5km Pre Race Briefing
8:25AM (approx): 5km race start. Just down from finish line.
9:15AM (approx): KIDS DASH race start.
All events will chase the paddle steamer to the finish line!
9:30AM (approx): Presentations. Hopwood Gardens.
10:00AM: 5&10KM road cut off. If participants haven't completed the course by this time they will be allowed to complete on footpaths only.
10:30AM: Event concludes

Overall 10km Male & Female: 1st $150.00 | 2nd $100.00 | 3rd $50.00.
Overall 5km Male & Female: 1st $75.00 | 2nd $50.00 | 3rd $25.00.
