Our story…
Bruce was diagnosed with OLIG JIA in 2022 after a year long battle of pain.
In the first year Bruce saw 6 physical therapists, 2 sports doctors, 1 neurologists, the Sick Kids Orthopedist team, countless family doctor appointments, steroid injections, ultrasounds, MRI’s, X-rays and a couple of emergency visits to the hospital.
Throughout it all he has maintained his humour and joyful personality and does his best to let his condition not get in his way.
Shortly after his diagnosis, Sick Kids ask him to participate in studies to help kids in future and we got to witness him sign his first set of legal documents with pride.
We do this walk for Bruce and for every child living with arthritis.
