My Story…
Have you ever thought about donating to a non-for profit organization that gets little to no funding from the government and gives back to the ASD Community that is volunteer driven, why not support the ASO (Aspergers Society Of Ontario).
ASO is a crucial support system within the Autism Spectrum Disorder community in Ontario. We are the only non-profit charity organization in Ontario dedicated solely to ASD1 (formerly known as Asperger's).
How do we support our community?
Through a variety of FREE services like our Action Line: a helpline for anyone in Ontario who has a need, question, or concern related to ASD1.
Common Action Line users are:
- people with ASD1 who are struggling and in need of urgent support
parents who want to learn more about the resources available to their children with ASD1
- teachers who have students with ASD1 in their class and need advice to best support them
- people with ASD1 looking to be connected with services that help with job interviews and accommodations
Since March 2020, ASO has seen a 64% increase in demand for the free services offered. Action Line now receives over 2,400 requests for support per year.
Donating to ASO helps to keep this phone line open for all who depend on it. Thank you for investing in the health of our community!
