This year, Moses experience one of his worst pain crisis episodes recently by staying 3-weeks in hospital at Sick Kids. As a parent you never want to see your child in pain and unable to walk. Moses' tough resilient nature was impacted by what he was experiencing as he begged for the pain to leave his body and questioned "why is my life like this, and why do I have to have so much pain".
It's in these moments you think about how much work needs to be done to support research efforts and possible cures for the disease. We believe like many others who experience pain crisis shouldn't have to live life in this way, and we need to work together as a community to help raise awareness of the disease that affect 20 million people world wide.
