My Story…
My name is Mansoor. I arrived in Canada as a permanent resident last year on October 26th, co-sponsored by the Holy Trinity Refugee Committee and a community group called Team Zaryab. I was born in Afghanistan, but had to flee soon after the country fell to the Taliban in 2021 because of death threats I received from them for teaching girls beyond grade six and for preparing girls to attend university. I was studying medicine back home as well and, after I arrived, I wanted to pursue my education in Canada. I worked for seven months for a community organization called New Circles, and then I got admission to the University of Toronto in life sciences. I hope you will support me and the Holy Trinity refugee committee to continue its help to refugees resettling in Canada. Thank you!
Donate to help Mansoor raise money for 2023 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon’s fundraising campaign.
