For just a few hours, on just a few days of the year, the tides are low enough in this area of the Bay to run the ocean floor. It's muddy, it's rough, it's a blast! Dig out your old shoes and come get stuck with us. If you're up for a bit of fresh, authentic, seaside fun, then this will be one of the most memorable experiences of your life!

Please note, strollers, baby joggers, baby backpacks/carriers, and pets are not permitted on the course.

“No Sweat” Policy
Not Since Moses is proud to offer registration deferment to the following year, in lieu of our no refund policy. A confirmed and paid registration can be cancelled for any reason up to 5:00PM on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 and carried forward to the 2024 race year. Refunds are not permitted. Participants who wish to take advantage of the No Sweat Policy will be required to pay a fee of $17.50 +HST on adult events and $8.50 +HST on youth events upon registering the next year.
Not Since Moses also offers the option to transfer a race registration to another distance or participant. All transfers are subject to a $1.95 +HST and processing fee.
Transfers can be completed until 5:00PM on Sunday, July 16, 2023.

Race Kit Pick Up will occur at the following locations and dates:
- Aerobics First, 6166 Quinpool Road, Halifax, NS, on Wednesday, August 2 from 12:00PM to 6:00PM
- Five Islands Lighthouse Park, 140 Broderick Lane, Route 2, Lower Five Islands, NS, on Friday, August 4 from 12:00PM to 6:00PM

5KM Closed
The Not Since Moses 5KM will take place in picturesque Five Islands on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Like the ocean tides, the 5KM race comes out and back—2.5KM out from the Five Islands Lighthouse Park, then 2.5KM back to the finish line. This run/walk offers breathtaking oceanside scenery and adventures through some of the muddiest areas of the Basin, so get ready for some fun! The 5KM is suitable for most abilities and all ages, however, kids under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult. *Please note: Due to the nature of the course and terrain, the route distance is an estimate. We do our best to accurately measure the course, but some distance variation may occur.

10KM Closed
The Not Since Moses 10KM starts at the same time as the 5KM but in a unique location—on the east side of Economy Mountain in Soley Cove. But don’t worry, it will still encompass the muddiest parts of the 5KM trail, as it ends at Five Islands Lighthouse Park, the same finish line as the other races. IMPORTANT: Due to the timing of the tides, you must be able to complete a normal 10KM in less than 1hr 15min to participate in this race. *Please note: Due to the nature of the course and terrain, the route distance is an estimate. We do our best to accurately measure the course, but some distance variation may occur.

Youth Run Closed
The Youth Run consists of 1–4 loops of a 500 metre mud course that begins and ends at the start/finish line at Lighthouse Park after the other races end at 11:00 AM. These runs are an absolute blast for kids: muddy, slippery, sloshy, and a hilariously great time suitable for all abilities and fitness levels. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.
