Run for MI Life Fun Run
MACKAY
Hastings Deering Run for MI Life is held in the name of our brother, uncle and friend, Matthew Ivory, who sadly took his own life on the 19th October 2012.
Matt was a fun-loving, kind hearted person who enjoyed a joke and relished making others laugh. His death was both unexpected and devastating to those who knew him. We, as his family, intend on using his name to change the perception of depression and suicide in our community and take away the negative stigma attached.
Since the first run in 2014, Run For MI Life has spread to 3 locations, seen thousands of people run and has raised over $380,000 to inspire people to seek help and support when it's needed. A large focus of Run For MI Life is to ensure that suicide prevention training is offered for FREE within the communities that run, to make them suicide safe.

Please collect your race pack from Wests Leagues Club, Walkerston, between 12pm and 4pm on Saturday, 14th October 2023.
Event schedule as follows:
5:30am to 6:00am - All runners and supporters to arrive and be checked in
6am - Roads Closed
6.30 am Running Commences - Dogs, walkers, prams and scooters will be directed to the back of each group in the following order:
6:30 am - 10km runners start
6:45 - 5km runners start
7:00 am - 3km runners start
