Grab your family and friends, dress up in a costume and join in on all of the fun! This is a family friendly event that is open to all ages and abilities. Each participant will get a goodie bag, a finisher medal, lunch served at the yacht club, chipped timed results and more!

We will be raising money for McMaster's Children's Hospital NICU. Register for the race and help us fundraise for this great cause. Proceeds from the 1KM event will go directly into supporting the charity.

What's Included

Everyone who registers will get a t-shirt, a goodie bag, a finisher medal, a post race lunch at the yacht club

Age category awards will be done following the race in 10-year increments from 10 and under to 80 plus. Anyone who places in their age category will get a special trophy.

In-Person Event Details

The in-person race will be hosted at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club. Both the 5KM and 10KM route is an out-and-back style course that starts and ends at the yacht club.

In the case of cancellation of the in-person race, we will not be issuing any refunds or returning the difference in pricing. If the in-person event is cancelled you will be switched into the virtual race.

Parking:
There will be no parking available at the yacht club as that is where we will be setting up our start/finish line and tents. Parking is available at the Ice Skating Rink at Pier 8 (preferred) as well as the Leander Boat Club (limited).

Race Route

Both the 5KM and 10KM route is an out-and-back style course that starts and ends at the yacht club. The 5K race will turn around at the end of the Bayfront Park loop and the 10K race will turn around at the bridge.

Virtual Race Details

Track your virtual run/walk and submit your results for the Halloween 5K and 10K using the ASICS Runkeeper™ app

The First Race Back virtual race can be completed anytime between October 1st and November 15th

How to track your run/walk and record your results using the Runkeeper^TMapp:

1. From your mobile device, go to your Race Roster dashboard for this event HERE
2. Click on the “Connect to my app” button, where you will be asked to confirm your name within the app (confirm your name and the event will be added to your app)
3. Revisit the Runkeeper™ app when you are ready to participate. From your start screen, click the flag symbol (bottom right) and select the race to start recording.
4. Complete your distance and save the activity. Your results will be automatically posted to the Race Roster leaderboard HERE
5. From the results page, click on your name to see your finisher summary

How to submit your results without Runkeeper^TMapp:

Please submit the results for your virtual race on the results page.

1. Make sure you are logged into your participant dashboard here.

2. Go to the virtual results page: CLICK HERE FOR VIRTUAL RESULTS PAGE.

3. Click the submit a virtual result button

4. Enter your time it took you to complete the race and submit your results.

Everyone who posts their results will receive a virtual finisher's certificate.
