About 4,500 Canadians per year die by suicide – 

an average of almost 12 suicides a day. 

Another year missed and we are again participating in the Centre for Suicide Prevention’s Run for Life 2023 in memory of a son, brother, step son and cousin... Andrew.  Thank you to my team - my beautiful daughter/Andrew's sister Katie, my loving partner Joe and my handsome nephew/Andrew's cousin Dakotah  for truly being dedicated to raising awareness and working towards Suicide Prevention in memory of Andrew.  I am forever grateful. 

 Andrew died by suicide in August 2019.  He was 26 years old and he was my baby, my youngest of 3 children.  He was outgoing, funny, handsome and loved beyond measure.  None of that matters when someone struggles with mental illness and feels that there is no other way.  They just want to end their pain. He had the world at his hands and family and friends that loved him dearly and he still lost his personal inner battle.

From September 16 to 23, 2023, join us on a journey from darkness into light to remember loved ones lost to suicide and raise awareness for suicide prevention.

This is a virtual event - participate anywhere, anytime, and in any way: by running, walking, or doing any other physical activity that inspires you. Yoga? Pickleball? Kayaking? Golf? All activities are welcome in Run for Life.
