My Story…
Why are we the Rabbi & Rebbetzin of STC (Shaarei Tefillah Community)? And why are we running?!!
Good questions!
Not just because we love our community and all the people in it. Not just because we love Judaism and know it carries so much value for our lives. Not just because we love Torah and find it so deep and relevant. We are, because we believe that no other institution in Jewish life is more important than one’s connection to a shul. Schools are great, but after a while you graduate. Camps are amazing immersive experiences, but they come to an end. Campus life is important, but quickly passes by. But if one is connected to a strong shul community, to a Rabbi and Rebbetzin and to like minded people looking to stay connected to a meaningful and vibrant Jewish life, a shul is there from the day you are born and will continue to be there throughout your life.
That is why we invest our lives into this community. And that is why we humbly ask you to support our run, so that we can support our future!

This Year’s Running Campaign is “Run for the Future – Our STC Youth!”
There is nothing more important for our shul community and for the Toronto Jewish community, than investing in our youth. Strong Jewishly committed and proud youth are the only way to secure a strong Jewish future. This year, we are investing heavily in our youth program, expanding programming to connect them to Shabbat and Chagim, bringing in Israeli Shinshinim to connect them to Israel, giving them space to lead services to connect them to Tefillah, and providing opportunities to have them both learn and share Torah to connect them to our values!

Mission Statement: STC is the destination for families from diverse Jewish backgrounds who share a common desire for relevant inspiration, strong traditional Jewish values, religious growth and a warm welcoming community.
