My Story…
In January of 2022 I donated my kidney to one of the most amazing, selfless people I know. Kate Galamiyeva. Kate was suffering from kidney failure, although looking at her you would never know. Her kidney function was so low that she should have been on dialysis months before our surgery. But thanks to the amazing team at UHN Kate never had to go on dialysis.
Donating my kidney to Kate was the best things I have ever done. To see Kate doing so well with improved health means the world to me. So having the opportunity to raise funds for the Centre for Living Organ Donation and run this race with Kate is so exciting!!
Please give what you can. The centre does truly amazing work and takes such good care of their living donors. The funds raised will continue to help them save lives.
