2023 VFAC Summerfast 10km

The Summerfast 10km course is a scenic, flat, fast run along the Stanley Park Seawall

The start is located adjacent to Ceperley Playground, east of Stanley Park Drive, on the bike path. The race course swings around the south side of Lost Lagoon and passes beneath West Georgia Street before doing a short loop in Coal Harbour. From there runners head out onto the Seawall. The race course then follows along the Seawall in a counter clockwise direction. The finish line is back at Ceperley Field, close to the start.

Race Weekend Pricing

Online registration closes at 11:59pm on July 11th, 2023. After that you can still register in-person via cash at package pickup, or on race morning (entries close at 7:30 AM), if space permits.

Package Pickup and Race Day Pricing - $60 cash only.

Race Notes

1. Race Package Pick-Up

Thursday, July 13th 2 PM - 7 PM

Friday, July 14th 2 PM - 6:30 PM

at Forerunners Main St.

Out of towners may pick up their race packages on the morning of the race at the finish line area (Ceperley Picnic Area) from 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM.

You may pick up race packages for other racers provided you have a copy of their email confirmation for the race.

2. Race Weekend Registration is available at package pickup for $60. CASH ONLY.

3. Registration is non-refundable. Transfers will be permitted until online registration closes - use the Transfer option on your participant dashboard to transfer your entry to another person. Transfers will be subject to a $5 transfer fee.

4. Summerfast 10k Run Team Challenge sponsored by Freehouse Collective

The winning crew will get their names on the Run Crew trophy, a cake to share, Instagram recognition & bragging rights, and gift certificates for Freehouse Collective restaurants to celebrate the win.

  • Points are calculated by the number of members finishing the event (1 point each) + additional points for the fastest teams.

  • Fastest teams get points based on the sum of their top 6 athletes’ age graded % (1st=10, 2nd=6, 3rd=4, 4th=2)

  • Second team will also be receiving a cake to share and refuel post race.

5. Elite entries

We encourage all elite athletes to register for Summerfast, however, subsidized elite entries cannot be supported at this time. Please note, however, that this event offers generous prize money to top 3 male and female finishers, in both overall and masters categories.

At package pickup, athletes will receive a pair of Drymax socks*, discount coupons for Forerunners and Freehouse Collective restaurants, and other goodies from Ener-C and Clif Bar.
