Boyne River Keepers

Help Raise money for Boyne River Keepers!!

The Boyne River Keepers strive to maintain and improve the quality of water that flows through our region. We work towards prevention of further erosion by cleaning up garbage and deadfall and planting appropriate shrubs and trees along the riverbank.  

We reach out to the community by improving the recreational value of the river, both summer and winter as well as including schools, community groups, businesses and governments in our projects and events. 

We believe that people will respect and honor the river if they use it to have fun and discover their flow. Our slow moving, meandering waterway is ideal for kayaking, canoeing, fishing in summer as well as skating, cross country skiing, and walking in the winter.  We organize activities to fundraise and highlight the rivers recreational value.

Currently we are fundraising for a Ryall Park River Launch.

In the summer of 2021, the BRK conducted a survey of our members to help us determine our next steps and projects. The surveys overwhelming first choice was the establishment of an accessible dock at Ryall Park. Our substantial senior population as well as a vibrant group of persons with disabilities directed our efforts to this end. This is an artist rendering of this proposed dock. It is the focus of our work, and we believe that it will contribute to tourism, commerce and recreation in Carman and surrounding area.
