My Story…
My name is Rachel and I am legally blind but I still train for races because it's taught me how to stabilize my depression and anxiety.
When I learned I was losing my vision, I stopped running and gave into a lot of panic attacks. I wasted a lot of time glued to my bed. But, I began training again after moving to the East end. The trails and parks made long distances accessible. A training schedule gave me something to look forward to, finally. And, I started looking forward to life in general again.
This is my first time running the St. Patrick's Day Race. I'm excited to be part of such a great cause.
Donate to help Rachel raise money for 2023 Toronto St. Patrick's Day Race’s fundraising campaign.
