The Exeter Elementary PTO is hosting its 25th Annual Get Fit in May on Saturday, May 20, 2023! The event includes a 5K run/fitness walk, plus ½ mile and 1 mile fun runs for the kids. Please see event website at www.getfitinmay.com for race day schedule - fun runs kick off at 8:30 and the 5K at 9:30)!
This wonderful community event has become a vital fundraiser for the Exeter Elementary PTO. Proceeds from the road race provide funding for school programs and initiatives not included in the school budget including: classroom technology, field trip transportation, staff appreciation events, teacher supplies, music & art enrichment, student council, playground equipment, and more. These educational opportunities enhance the classroom and school experience for all our children!
NEW THIS YEAR: TEAM COMPETITION!!
For the student 5K and fun runs, you will be asked to identify your child's grade if they are a MSS/LSS student. The grade with the most student registrants will win a special prize after race day!
As of noon on 5/19, grades 2-5 are locked in a tight race (within 4 registrants of each other)!

Friday – May 19, 2023
3:00 pm – 4:15 PM
(PLEASE PARK IN THE PARKING LOT AND WALK TO THE BACK OF THE SCHOOL AND ENTER THE GYM FROM THE RAMP ENTRANCE – PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE)
- Registrants can pick up their bibs for the 5k and Fun Run on Friday. If you’ve missed online Registration fear not! You can register for the race on Friday as well – in person!
Saturday – May 20, 2023
7:00 am – Registration Opens – Lincoln Street School Gym (25 Lincoln St, Exeter, NH 03833) – use back ramp entrance – same as Friday (bib pick up and day of registration)
8:00am – 8:15 am – Fun Run Warm Ups with the LSS PE Teachers
8:30 am – Kids 1/2 mile Fun Run
8:45 am – Kids 1 mile Fun Run
9:30 am – 5k starts

All students who register for the full 5K can run the appropriate fun run (1/2 mile for grades K-2; 1 mile for grades 3-5) free of charge! There is NO NEED to register for the fun run if the student has a 5K bib, just show up!
