Whitney's Walk for Life is held the last Saturday in July each year at Jubilee State Park in Brimfield, Illinois. Money from Whitney's Walk for Life is donated to Hult Center for Healthy Living, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit. Hult Center increases awareness for suicide prevention in Central Illinois through:
- Youth and adult mental health and suicide prevention programs
- Skills-based mental health trainings for adults
- Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training
- School consultations to ensure best practices in suicide prevention and post-vention efforts
Although the 5K Walk/Run is held in July, Hult Center for Healthy Living and Whitney's Walk for Life volunteers continue to fundraise all year. You can donate through December 31, 2023 for the current year; all donations on and after January 1, 2024 will be applied to the 2024 campaign.
