My Story…
The first weekend in May, I'll be competing in my sixth Ruck4HIT. I'll be doing so in honor of my dad, an Army veteran who passed away five years ago on April 30, 2018.
And I'll be competing in honor of Marine Captain Eric Jones (above) who died in October 2009 while flying a combat mission in Afghanistan at the age of 29.
After his death, his parents Cyndy and Ken Jones formed Heroes In Transition to honor Eric's life, service, and sacrifice. The Ruck4HIT raises funds to support Heroes In Transition's work through 12 different programs which assist service members, veterans, and military families throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and other parts of New England.
I've had the privilege of witnessing the impacts of these programs firsthand and they have saved lives, saved marriages, and impacted lives for the better.
Any donation to support my race and our team is much appreciated!
Chris
P.S. I was supposed to participate in the Ruck4HIT in 2018, but my dad (pictured below) passed away right before the race.
Donate to help Chris raise money for RUCK4HITCapeCod 2023’s fundraising campaign.
