My Story…
Hello Friends and Family!
As many of you know I lost my brother and hero, Mike, to a 4-year battle with cancer last July. He inspired me and many with his amazing acts of endurance and grit. One such event was this race called “Ruck4hit” that is basically a 10 person team event where every participant runs 30 miles over a 36 hour period. Here is the hitch, they do so wearing a 20lb weighted back pack. Crazy!
Some of my brother's friends created a team in honor of Mike and are running it this weekend. The team name is “one more rep”. A saying Mike was well known for at his CrossFit Gym that he once co-owned. Let me tell you that I am not one of the amazing athletes running, but will be one of two driving the van from Thursday night to Saturday afternoon across Cape Cod. The race starts this Thursday around midnight and I want to ask you to consider donating to this cause benefiting veterans and military families. Please give what is comfortable to you.
