Welcome to the fifth annual Oakland Track Club Winter Classic! With the new year under way, it’s the perfect time to mix it up with some friendly competition to test your fitness!

Join your friends from OTC and Run Local on Saturday, February 4th for some Winter racing at Skyline High School in Oakland! Track events include the open 3200m, youth 1600m, as well as a 400m kids’ Fun Run and a sure-to-be exciting mixed 4 x 400m Relay!

The Winter Classic is also a fundraiser for Skyline High School’s Cross Country and Track and Field programs! Donations will help them to purchase new equipment & support their athletes!


Experience the magic of Winter racing with Oakland Track Club, check out our vendor partners like Oakland's own Soul Blends Coffee, and put that spring fitness to the test with competition for those at every level. Oh, and the first 50 registrants score a special edition OTC Winter Classic sports towel. See you there!

Prizes: $1000 in gift cards and gear provided by our community partners Rabbit, Skratch Labs, and Sports Basement!

⏰ Tentative Schedule (subject to change depending on entries; heat sheets will come out Thursday before the meet):


Heats will be based solely on seed time, not gender, & will be run slowest to fastest. Heat sheets will be available race morning at the track.

9:00am – Heat #1
9:30am – Heat #2
10:00am – The RBO youth 1600m
10:30am – Kids 400m fun run
10:45am – The Skratch Labs 4 x 400m Relay (Free Race Day Signup on the track)
