Can I leave and come back to the Festival later?
Yes, run participants are allowed re-entry throughout the day with their Festival Entry Wristband, which you will receive at Packet Pickup.
Can I pick up someone else’s packet?
Yes, you may pick up someone else’s race bib, shirt, and Festival Entry Wristband, you just have to sign for it.
Can I run with headphones?
Yes, but please be aware of your surroundings and control the volume of your headphones so you can still hear race officials at all times.
Are strollers welcome in the race?
Yes, but please start towards the back of the crowd.
Will there by water on the course?
Yes, there will be two water stations.
Where should I park?
Please park at the USC Parking Garage located at the corner of Blossom St. and Bull St. Check the Parking page for additional details.
Where is my Chip?
The timing chip is found on the back of your race bib (race number). You will receive a disposable chip on your race bib when you pickup your packet.
Will I receive a confirmation when I register?
Yes, you will receive confirmation from Race Roster.
How does the Group Discount work?
Groups of 5 or more people that register together in the same transaction will receive $5 off per person. Additional discounts do not apply to group registration.
Can I get a refund if I am unable to participate?
There are NO refunds for this event; however, you can click here for transfer instructions or you can pickup up your packet which include the shirt and Festival Entry Wristband.
What happens at the end of the race?
The event finishes outside of the Festival Gate and there will be water and refreshments provided. You will not need your Festival Entry Wristband in this area. If you choose to walk through the festival to get to your car you WILL NEED your Festival Entry Wristband. Participants may leave and return with their wristband.
Where is the Awards Ceremony?
The Awards Ceremony will be held OUTSIDE the festival gate near the Finish Area. This is a free area of the festival and we encourage you to invite your friends and family. Awards will begin at approximately 9:30am.
What if I am unable to stay for the Awards but I WON something?
You must be present at the awards ceremony to claim your award. Friends and family may pick up an award for you. Awards will not be mailed.
What if I didn’t pick up my packet?
If you do not pick up those items PRIOR to the START of the race you forfeit your shirt and Festival Entry Wristband. Check the Packet Pickup page for times and details.
Will the Race be rescheduled in the event of rain or bad weather?
This is a RAIN or SHINE event. Thank you for your participation.
What is a Race Packet and why do I need to pick it up early?
The Race Packet includes your bib (race number), Festival Entry Wristband (for entry to the St. Pat’s in Five Points Festival) and shirt. It is best to pick this up prior to the morning of the event, if you can, to avoid the rush the morning of the race. Check the Packet Pickup page for times and details.
What do I do with the Race Bib (race number)?
Attach the race bib to the front of your shirt on all four corners with safety pins (provided at packet pickup). You must wear the race bib to participate.
I am running the race and my family wants to cheer me on. Does each one need to buy a ticket?
The run starts and finishes outside of the Festival Gate so they are welcome to cheer you on along Devine St. The Parade immediately follows the race so take a seat on Devine St. and enjoy that as well! Water, Post Race Food and Awards are all available at near the Finish Line (outside the Festival Gate).
How does the Virtual 5K & 10K work?
Run your virtual 5K or 10K anywhere and anytime between 3/17 and 3/20. Post your time on the virtual results page to compare yourself to other virtual runners from around the country. Virtual participants receive a race bib, shirt, and custom finisher's medal. There is an option during registration to select to have your race packet mailed to you. Race packets will be mailed out the week of March 7th. Virtual participants are not eligible for in-person awards.
How do I submit a virtual result?

You must have a valid virtual 5K or 10K registration for this event which is validated by asking for the confirmation and last name on the order. Think of this like "checking in" for the race. You may have received this confirmation when registering, or you may have been sent one via email. You can also provide recorded proof of your finish time by completing your race and recording it using a tracking app (Runkeeper, Garmin, Strava, etc). You can then upload a screenshot of your results when posting your finish time.
