Help Josephine raise money

For participating in The 2023 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

My Story…

Thank you for visiting my page! As a grandmother to two grandsons with autism I really believe in their mission. Its an amazing charity and the fact that the race is being held on my 68th birthday is an extra plus because I want to be here for my grandchildren as long as I can to witness their growth and every milestone that they achieve thanks to the resources such as these out there.  Thanking all in advance for any donation given.

Dogs for Better Lives is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit they have been providing Assistance Dogs to people across the United States since 1977.  Dogs for Better Lives’ mission is to professionally train dogs to help people and enhance lives while maintaining a lifelong commitment to all dogs we rescue or breed and the people we serve.  Certified professional staff train and place Assistance Dogs with individuals who experience deafness; with children who are on the autism spectrum; and with professionals such as teachers, physicians, and licensed therapists whose students and clients can benefit from the dogs’ calming presence.

Description

Do you know someone whose life has been impacted by hearing loss, autism, anxiety, or grief?

Dogs for Better Lives professionally trains Hearing Assistance, Autism Assistance and Facility Dogs to help people facing these challenges. We recently opened our northeast campus in Falmouth and we’re very excited to have runners in the 50th Falmouth Road Race!

The average cost to train a service dog is $51,000 but we place our dogs at zero cost to our clients. Every dollar you raise for Dogs for Better Lives will go programmatic expenses.
