My Story…
This year I will run my 6th Falmouth Road Race! In years past, I have raised funds for March of Dimes and the BIDMC NICU. This year, I am proud to announce that I am running for Project Sweet Peas. Project Sweet Peas is a national non-profit organization coordinated by volunteers who, through personal experience, have become passionate about providing support to families of premature or sick infants and to those who have been affected by pregnancy and infant loss.
Through our fundraising efforts, Project Sweet Peas will be able to provide care packages, hospital events, peer-to-peer support, financial aid, educational materials, among other services, while also supporting the cultural, spiritual, emotional, and financial needs of families as they endure life in the NICU.
I am running the race in honor of my daughter Willa, born at 34 weeks, and my son Foster, born at 33 weeks. Both of my kids were born at BIDMC and were moved to the NICU where he received the best care. Brian and I will never forget our amazing nurses and doctors at the BIDMC NICU who cared for both of our babies.
Please join me in raising funds to support parents and their babies who are currently in a NICU. Thank you for supporting a cause that is near and dear to our hearts.
