My Story…
HELP US RAISE FUNDS FOR THE BRAIN ANEURYSM FOUNDATION!
This August, the three of us will run The Falmouth Road Race on TeamBAF to help raise funds for The Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
As many of you know, last summer our lifelong friend / cousin Meg suffered a life-altering brain aneurysm. Thanks to her amazing medical team and rehabilitation therapists, she is alive today and continues to make incredible progress. This was the second brain aneurysm for their family; Meg's sister MaryKate thankfully survived one a few years earlier.
The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading awareness, providing support, and funding brain aneurysm research. Today, 1 in 50 people in the US are unknowingly living their lives with an unruptured brain aneurysm. Each year, an average of 30,000 people suffer a rupture, with half of those ruptures resulting in death. This is preventable with continued research and scanning.
Our hope is that a day will come when nobody will have to suffer the effects of this preventable affliction. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
