Fundraising for Cures!
I am so excited to add another race to my list of races I have run. On August 20th I will be running in my 10th race Down the Cape in Falmouth. This is a significant accomplishment because I was not sure I would live to see this day. I was not even sure I would live to see my nieces grow to be the fantastic women they are or be able to fly across the country to be at my cousin's wedding.
Crohn’s is a horrible disease that is a stealer of once-in-a-lifetime moments. That is so debilitating people are stuck to their couches in serious pain. My Crohn’s was so bad it almost killed me.
But today, I have been in remission for eight years. I am so lucky to say that because not everyone can.
I am here because of the amazing discovery of new drugs, friends who also suffer, and the fantastic Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
Please help me in raising money for research, patient advocacy, and support. I would not be here today without generous people like you and I am running because I can.
Thank you from the bottom of my intestines,
Nikki
