My Story…
I am so excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race this Summer, for a great cause!
I will be running with Team IMPACT melanoma to raise funds for their amazing organization. IMPACT melanoma works to raise awareness, educate, and prevent this deadly form of skin cancer. They provide a variety of early detection/prevention programs and work to support families and patients who are struggling with this disease.
This is a cause that is now very near and dear to my heart. One year ago, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma and within four months it took him from us. I am running this summer to honor my dad and to bring awareness to how deadly this form of skin cancer can be.
Early detection is extremely important in beating this disease, with 99% of cases being curable if caught early. All funds raised will go directly towards expanding IMPACT's programming which will help to reach more people and save more lives. Any donation is so greatly appreciated!
