My Story
I am running the 2023 ASICS Falmouth Road Race. Please donate to help me raise funds for the Vanessa T. Marcotte Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to empower women to live boldly and fearlessly, and to reduce violence, objectification, and harassment. The Foundation advocates for empowerment, safety awareness, and gender equality. It furthers its mission by providing self-defense training and educational opportunities, and partnering with like-minded organizations to address the root causes of violence. On a summer afternoon, Vanessa Marcotte left her family home to go for a short walk. She was tragically killed by an act of violence. Her male attacker is imprisoned for murder.
As a male runner, I have a luxury that most female runners don't. 84% of women have been harassed while running. Everyone should be able to run or walk without fear of harassment or violence
