My Story…
The Cape Cod Times Needy Fund has long been a favorite charity of mine so I am pleased to be part of the Falmouth Road Race Needy Fund team this year. The Needy Fund provides emergency financial assistance to Cape and Island residents, often allowing residents facing possible homelessness to stay in their homes or get help with groceries, utility payments and child care costs. Description
The Cape Cod Times Needy Fund, Inc. has been helping local residents since 1936. Our mission is to provide urgent financial assistance for basic human needs such as housing, food, medical needs, transportation and heat, to individuals and families residing on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket who are experiencing temporary financial hardships. Most of the money raised comes from Cape Cod individuals, families, businesses, clubs, civic organizations, schools and faith communities - "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" is what the Needy Fund is all about.
