Help Mary Kate raise money

Hi!   Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.   This year I am running the Falmouth Road Race for the Courageous Parents Network (CPN).   I learned of CPN through a dear friend (and fellow Holy Cross Cross Country and Track alumna) Dr. Alicia Casey.  CPN is a non-profit organization that empowers and guides parents and others caring for children with serious illness.  It provides research and support to families and others facing the unspeakable challenge of having a child with a severe illness.   To be able to run and raise money for this beautifully empathetic and knowledgeable non-profit is a gift.  

On a personal note, I was going to drop out of this opportunity after my dad passed in June 2023... My fitness level is not where I want it to be; but I realized it is not about that or about me...and running has been an outlet for me to channel my grief and pray for my dad and all of those who are dealing with anything challenging.  My family and I were blessed to have a wonderful father and husband who lived a full life. My heart hurts for those dealing with the unspeakable challenge of having a sick child.   Running or walking a race no matter what pace not matter what the day brings, I am grateful.
