Help Deborah raise money

For participating in The 2023 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

OUR FINISH LINE SAYS ALS DONE!

THANK YOU for visiting my fundraising page for the 2023 Falmouth Road Race. Once again I'm proud to be running to raise funds to help in the fight against ALS.

This will be my 6th year running Falmouth and raising funds for ALS One.   As always, I am running in memory of Rick Marks, who was diagnosed with ALS in October 2016.   Sadly, we lost Rick in April of 2018.  I first met Rick when our children were in Cub Scouts in second grade, and we continued in Scouting together for the next decade or so.   Rick loved running, hiking, and all things outdoors.  Despite the diagnosis, Rick set out to hike the last 600 miles of the Appalachian Trail during the summer of 2017.  I was honored to hike a section of the AT in Maine with him and others from our Scout Troop. I have since known other people who fought ALS, and have met so many  amazing people who are working alongside ALS One to fund a cure or treatment.

Please take a look at the Rick’s Blog to be as inspired by him as I am:   https://rickshikeforals.org/

Please also take a moment to be inspired by this video about Kevin Gosnell, the founder of ALSONE: https://vimeo.com/237796161

THANK YOU so much! YOU are truly making a difference!
