My Story…
On August 20th, I will be running the 51st Annual Falmouth Road Race on Team Ouimet!
The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund provides need-based college scholarships for young men and women who work in golf. As a former scholar, I understand the significance of the financial support awarded by The Fund. The scholarship helped to alleviate some of the costs associated with college and now it's time for me to pay it forward!
Francis Ouimet is remembered for his astonishing 1913 U.S. Open victory, but his legacy extends far beyond his accomplishments on the golf course. He exuded kindness and humility, especially towards young people like his caddie Eddie Lowery. Similarly, The Fund's impact goes far beyond monetary awards. Ouimet scholars join a network of more than 6,500 Alumni across the country and are encouraged to participate in various professional development programs and events.
