My Story…
I'm taking on Falmouth Road Race to raise funding for more girls to participate in the transformational Girls on the Run afterschool program! As a coach and staff member, it's my pleasure to see girls find confidence through the social-emotional skill building we learn at every practice. It's amazing to see them set and accomplish their goals - I want to be just like them so I'm setting the goal to train and fundraise Falmouth this year! Here we go!
Description
Girls on the Run is more than a running program. Through GOTR's program, trained coaches implement the research-based curriculum that builds lifelong healthy habits. Girls learn the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of physical activity, as well as tools for navigating the challenges of adolescence. Each season concludes with a 5K event where the girls run at their own pace, giving them a sense of achievement and a framework for setting and achieving life goals.
