I'm running the 51st ASICS Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation
8 years ago my running partner, Dawn Deluca, got the news no one wants to hear. She was diagnosed with colorectal cancer (CRC) in her early thirties. Fast forward to today, she has endured countless surgeries and unfortunately is now batting Stage 4 CRC. Through all of her battles, she's maintained a very high quality of life. She was on the front lines as an ICU nurse during COVID. She even raises thousands of dollars for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation for cancer warriors like herself. She has the most selfless spirit of anyone I know. Despite having cancer, she never lost her love of running. We have run countless road races together from 5ks to half marathons and I can't imagine running them without her. She's always there to encourage me and more importantly she always seems to find the people who need her nursing skills on the course. I ask that you donate in honor of Dawn and the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. JAF provides financial support for those fighting as treatments and other expenses may not always be covered by insurance. And please if you, a family member or friend is over 45, take this as a sign to go schedule your colonoscopy as it could save your life! Thank you on behalf of JAF, Dawn and all the cancer warriors for your donation.
Donate to help Jennifer raise money for The 2023 ASICS Falmouth Road Race’s fundraising campaign.
