My Story…

Give every day the chance to become the most beautiful day of your life - Mark Twain

Life can be hard for all of us in all sorts of ways and during all sorts of times. We all need help and guidance from time to time.  Mentoring is a great way to help others prepare for and weather through life’s various challenges, envision new possibilities and fulfill new dreams.

Youth today face so much noise, agendas that twist the truth, and so many other headwinds to doing the right thing.  Discerning reality and making the best decisions one can is challenging.

Done well, mentoring and coaching can provide a guiding perspective on the range of behaviors and situations people encounter in life and thus give the confidence needed to do the right thing.

I have had the pleasure to mentor colleagues and coach youth sports over the years.  I find it rewarding and a way to help others.  I came across Mass Mentoring as I explored various charities to run for at this year's Falmouth Road Race and their mission resonates with me.  If any of this resonates with you, please consider making whatever contribution feels right for you and support their mentorship programs and efforts in local communities across the Commonwealth.

Description

I am #RunningForMentoring with the Mass Mentoring Partnership!

Please join me on my journey to make a difference in the lives of young people across the Commonwealth through my fundraising efforts!

Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP), is committed to ensuring that all young people in Massachusetts have the mentoring relationships they need to develop into thriving, engaged adults, resulting in vibrant communities.

In MMP’s unique role as an intermediary organization, we provide the critical link between national evidence-based research and local programs that promote the quality and quantity of mentoring relationships. As a force multiplier, MMP invests in the support young people need by providing the tools adults require in order to truly show up for youth in a caring and consistent way by bringing research to practice and theory to action.
